Klinikum Landshut ranks among the largest high-capacity hospitals in the whole of Lower Bavaria. Every year over 1,200 highly motivated members of the clinic staff take care of over 70,000 in-patients and out-patients in 526 beds. 19 specialty departments and two day-clinics offer a wide range of medical services catering for patients from Landshut and the surrounding region. As tertiary care hospital we are specialised in treating rare diseases. In addition, we are an academic teaching hospital of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
The clinic offers an excellent expertise in diagnostics and therapeutic options for cancer diseases. With its three certified cancer centres the hospital is recognized and acknowledged far beyond the region, namely a colon cancer centre, a breast cancer centre and a prostate cancer centre. The breast cancer centre is one of the best in Germany. Further core areas in cancer treatment are the thyroid gland and lungs. At our centres we offer ultramodern methods and comply with pertinent quality guidelines with focus on streamlining expertise. Our interdisciplinary approach is the basis for excellent medical treatment and nursing care.
As one of the few hospitals in Germany the Klinikum is trendsetting in tumour diagnostics by offering a PET/CT. Equally distinguished is the open MRI which is operated in close cooperation with the Privatinstitut für Kernspindiagnostik [Private Institute for MRI Diagnostics] at the Klinikum Landshut. For claustrophobic patients the equipment is an enormous relief in performing the necessary diagnostics. To date both pieces of equipment are absolutely unique in the region.
In the past years we have been focusing on international patients and are open to anyone needing our help. Please contact us, it will be a pleasure to assist you.
